Curtain

• Slat Profile: 4″ Solid curved galvanized steel slats, cast iron end locks is installed on each alternate slat to reduce lateral movement and deflection control.
• Material spec: From 22 ga up to 16 ga galvanized steel
• Finish: Galvanized or customizable powder-coat colors.
• Options: 3″ Solid “C” “W” or “flat”, punched, perforated and grilled. Factory installed end locks or wind locks.

Bottom Bar

• Standard design includes double-angle galvanized steel bar (2″ x 2″ x 1/8″) extends into the guide tracks.
• Material spec: 2″ x 2″ x 1/8″ Galvanized angle.
• Optional finish: Galvanized or powder coating to match the curtain

Brackets

• Fabricated from 3/16 thick carbon steel plate and increase thickness depending on weight load with ball bearings on the drive side for smooth rotation and protect drive shaft from wear.
• Finish Options: Galvanized or customizable powder-coat colors
• Optional: Stop-lock bearing to prevent free fall in the event of operator failure or spring failure.

Guides

• Material: Built from heavy-duty structural steel angles with a minimum thickness of 3/16”, manufactured in compliance with ASTM A36 standards. Guides are bolted together using ⅜” fasteners in 1-¼” slotted connections, spaced at a maximum of 24” on center for secure installation. A precise 1” channel spacing is engineered to provide smooth and reliable curtain movement during daily operation. For enhanced performance, Town Gate includes a standard vinyl clip-on weather seal to improve durability and reduce air infiltration.

Counterbalance Assembly

A precision-balanced shaft limits deflection to 0.03″ per foot of door width. Torsion springs are helical-type, designed with a 25% overload factor. Springs are grease-packed and mounted on a cold-rolled steel inner shaft.
Features: External spring tension adjustment and sealed ball bearings to reduce shaft wear.
Cycle life: From 20,000 up to 400,000 cycles depending on application.

Hood / Coil Housing

• Standard hood is formed from 22-gauge galvanized steel in a hexagonal shape, fitting the contour of the brackets. Equipped with a neoprene air baffle to prevent air filtration.
• Optional shapes: Square or round.
• Finish: Galvanized or customizable powder-coat colors.

Locking Devices

Choose from multiple locking options depending on operation type:

Slide lock on bottom bar (manual models).

Cylinder locks.

Pin locks with guide hasps.
